Vanson "Ike" in "Octagon" Leather...

Thanks for the love folks. Jeff I thank you for the compliment BUT I've made too many mistakes to consider my taste "impeccable" LOL! As for a Vanson or Ike club... sure, why not? I think the "Ike" they're referring to is former President Dwight Eisenhower who wore a similarly styled jacket in the war but I'm merely stating that subject to check. No, this jacket was a lucky find. Got a load of compliments on it today on its first day out. I think it's more of a cap than hat jacket Dean but that won't stop me from trying the Resistol, Akubra, Biltmore and my bespoke CRM when I get a chance. Long slog to get her "right" but I'm happy. Only one jacket left to get in... A2 in "Vintage Russet" from Scotland then I can lay back and enjoy for a while..... sure.

Very nice! I like the style, hide finish, grain, color, etc. It's all good and I expect will only get better with age.

My jacket was the last one made from the "first run" with this hide. It was a 54 that I had to have cut down my Vanson. They have since done a second run with a similar hide but from the questions I got from other Loungers there may have been some flaws with it. I'm not sure this color is still for sale.
