Help a newbie identifying the leather.

I know it's very difficult, but maybe someone here have any clue about what kind of leather this could or could not be. Seller claim to be horsehide.

It doesn't look like HH to me. It looks like cow and I believe the jacket in question is of Chinese decent and can be purchased through Ali express. I know b/c I had a similar jacket in a different color.

I agree with Ton that this is a Chinese made jacket. The manufacturer usually claim that it is HH. I doubt that this is HH though. Resellers are selling this jacket outside China for way more than its worth. I saw a guy on Yahoo Auction Japan trying to unload a bunch of these at many times the Taobao/Aliexpress price.

You are 100%, it's from Ali ...
I suspected that it was a lie, the price is $200. But as long as I don't know very much about leather I thought that could be a chance of an cheap HH. Also they mix pictures on the website, some from real quality jackets. I asked for real life pictures and received these.

It's not a bad jacket by any means and $200usd is not overly pricey for it. I bought And subsequently unloaded mine for just that amount. Had it fit a bit neater I surely would've kept it.
Why they feel the need to falsify its provenance is a bit confusing to me. It is what it is and it's not half bad.

It's the cool value, combined with the premium that comes with HH.
