Today it’s NOT your everyday Strat.
Nup...it’s the CamoStrat. Before you all scream...i didn’t do it!! But i’m glad someone did. I love a good Camo hunting and fishing hat and well...it’s a Strat!
Actually an RD with stars in the liner and sweat. So pretty old. Pretty nice condition too. Whoda thunk it!!
So, bring it!! Lol
Be well. Bowen
Wow, never seen anyone do that to an old vintage hat. Nice crease, but it is hard to see with the camo, I guess it works.

My new Milan turned out to be a pretty good golfer. It helped me win a little golf tournament at my club today :D
The last ones are of my wife and my daughter wearing it.
My wife says she wants one of her own, but Tiffani says they don't make it in 55 cm, so I saved $485 with shipping. Thanks, Tiff! :)

This week's creation. Handmade, slightly distressed, 100% beaver fur felt fedora. Double hat band ribbon and some leather cording. Then burned. Pounced completely by hand and blocked using an open crown block I made myself, then shaped by hand, the way God intended it. Haha

Greetings Milpro:
That’s a fine looking hat you made Sir. I like the high crown and the brim proportion. Like to see more of your work.
Just a hobby for personal use? Nice!

It was a hobby until two weeks ago when I hung up a virtual shingle and started selling legitimately.

Most of my hats are shown on my Facebook. Ross.elder.35

Or search Elder Originals Ltd
Or visit my new website. Still working out the website kinks.

Up close, it does look a bit like someone's Grandchild attacked it with a box of marking pens. But if you're someone who likes the unusual (like me), it has all kinds of cool factor. Great hat!

A doctor who golfs? How cliché! :p I hate to be the one to break it to you, but your wife and daughter look better wearing it than you do. And I speak from experience, because my wife looks far better in any of my hats than I do.

Okay, enough with the dumb jokes. A fine hat and a wonderful family; you're a lucky man.

I'm sad to report that I couldn't find any hats of quality during my trek through the Costa Rican rainforests. Even my photography suffered, in that bright tropical sun interspersed with dark forestry make a camera (and its holder) go nuts over lighting!

All the hats I came across were of the "boonie" variety; the only straw hat I saw was a misshapen mess that would embarrass its wearer to no end.

So, I wound up wearing my Stetson "bush hat." It was probably a good choice, as it's airy, wide-brimmed, and impregnated with insect repellent! I don't like the way it looks on me, so today will probably be the last time I wear it until my next jungle adventure comes around.

We in the land of OZ down Under are having Mother’s Day today

So this is what I’m wearing to go out with the family

It’s one or the other hat - the wife will pick :)
I like to add a lapel pin and pocket handkerchief to my coat
The lapel pin I constructed myself with armature wire

The houndstooth Flat Cap and the coat is new to the forum as I haven’t posted these items before

The coat is Scottish Harris Tweed
