Hemp Strat in sage this morning.
Outstanding form on that Stetson this morning Bob.

Thanks for the comments and likes on yesterday's Game Bird. They're calling for a little stormage today, so a tough hat may be needed.

I say you take a page out of Wyldkarma's book. Load up the living room with what you've got. Then let us make the decisions for you! It truly makes it easier for everyone.

Like I would trust anyone here! There’s those I consider friends who would stick a knife between my ribs for some vintage felt.

Selling is such a bigger pain than buying. Still, I have hats in every room and better to take some preemptive action than to wait until my wife says something. She’s patient, but we all have our limits.

I keep saying I’m going to pair down my collection but then I don’t want to get rid of any of them. Just now I took a count: 5 vintage in shipping, 7 custom hats commissioned, and another four being refurbished by VS and on its way to Bond. Yikes!

Bowen recently said he wanted to trim his collection down to 20(ish) hats. I like the sound of that but which ones do you get rid of? What about the hats that don’t make the cut but also aren’t desirable and won’t bring anything at auction? Hmmm.

I know how you feel. I have given up and decided my wife and I need to move to a bigger house. At least I think she would move with me. ;)

Spending a few days camping in the Sierras. A good way to vet a perspective son-in-law. Also easy disposal of the body if things don’t work out. ;)

Resistol 4X for what I hope to be cool weather at 9,000 feet of elevation.

He doesn’t hunt, and my daughter has made me promise not to take him shooting. I’ve been a shooting and firearms instructor for almost 30 years and I don’t suffer fools where firearms are involved. $10 says he brings a baseball cap if anything.
Ha...in that case pick him one of your’s and gauge his tenor during the adventure. If he doesn’t treat Pop’s hat right.....just sayin. Hope he’s a good one!

Thanks, Bowen. He does seem to be a nice kid and he’s from a good family. This will be number two and one more yet to come. It’s bittersweet. He can hate hats, guns, dogs, fishing, and be a member of the wrong political party, but as long as he always treats my daughter right we’ll get along just fine.

I like to check out what you guys are wearing every few days, but find myself not posting much in the summer. Not wearing felt often in this ugly 90 degree mess, so I stick with a few choice “straws”.

Did a gig in the heat last Saturday and wore my Stetson Florentine. Enjoy!
