Damn it. Sold from Japan only? Argh

Hey, just saw this, been off the board lately... Yes, RDT is Japan only, but I got them from a good seller who was easy to deal with if you're interested. Not cheap, but my memory is they came in less than a pair of Vibergs and comparable to White's. Also, they come originally with a thick cork sole and Cat's Paw heels, which look really cool but the heels were too high for me, so I switched them out for the Vibram squishy soles.

Here's a pic of the original sole/heel:

That's what worries me! Chucks are size 11. But all of the sudden these ugly ass boots have intrigued me as they look like chucks and bowling shoes had a baby. They are Horween leather. Thorogood 1892's. Any thoughts? They aren't nearly as cool as the dub trio boot but I do like them. I really want one decent pair of boots. I won't fall into a rabbit hole on shoes. I don't think. Mainly a pair of leather chicks keeps me happy until I'm falling ass down in the snow and ice.

I picked up a pair of Thorogood Natural last year at a great deal on Massdrop. It took a while to break them in but, they are developing character. Fairly heavy at over 4 pounds and completely indestructible! I get occasional bowling shoe comments.

I received my White Kloud boots today. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is ridiculous. They are even better than my Clinch and Role Club boots, making them the best work boots in the world. It's not easy to get a pair, but if you ever have the chance to go to Goto-San's workshop to be measured for a pair, it's worth it. A full write up will be on my website eventually. I'm taking some time to bask in the greatness of these boots first.

Impeccable and Gorgeous!
...but what is this hole for?

I think the hole is created by the craftsman while making the boot, used to hold the leather in place for one step of the manufacture.. its a sign that the boot was handmade.. you'll find them on Role Club boots and Lofgren if I recall correctly.
