How does top stitching factor into your jacket decisions, if at all?

I emailed Dave(Maverickson) about one of his Jackets. He said about 4 months for a particular model.(Still trying to convince My Wife, since I just bought a L.W.)
I'm still crossing my fingers......P.S. He seems like he'd be GREAT to work with. steve

What model and/or stitching are you considering?

It already has french seams where it makes sens to have them!
To many french seams kill the french seam...

Actually French seams are almost the only way all original vintage civilian Monarch's jackets reinforced their seams.

My Lost Worlds "TEST" has a combination of seams also..Yes Carlos840, Very balanced looking.
Ton312, The test has French seams even though the leather is quite thick..steve

I think you already know how much I love stitching...

…. whereas one of my Iron Heart shirts is triple stitched in places which is almost a bit too much considering it's contrast stitching. It almost gets you into the territory of making something look like it's built like a tank for the look of it rather than the functionality.

Either way, I'm not ever going to complain about extra stitching until we start getting jackets made of contrast stitching edged with leather.

Actually, Iroh Heart’s signature triple-stitching is highly prized among denimheads. They are willing to pay premium for that extra work.

To OP’s question, I don’t care about stitching at all, as long as it’s obviously not shoddy work.
