Errands, cleaning hats and recovery from the holiday weekend. All in a Hawaiian shirt and my seemingly go-to Panama/Cuenca, custom made by Mike Miller at NW Hat Company.

Hotel is booked for the Montecristi trip in Dec/Jan. Gonna try and score some nice hats/hat bodies again, only this time in coastal MC instead of the mountains of Cuenca.

Very showy for the morning. Those feathers really catch the eye. I wonder what species produced them?

Opale is such a nice color for a homburg. Nice change from rich browns. The Lees is a worthy keeper. You are going to have to re-introduce these "finds" to us.
Thanks, Mike. I've been rummaging through my hats all day today. All set to list a few in the classifieds (more than a few actually). I did come across hats that I almost forgot about, which is both nice and kind of worrying.

Those two make up for the day off. Both fantastic looking. Great color on the Lees

I would concur.

Thanks Doug. It's from the school of stiff brim, soft crown westerns. Decent felt, but not up to the quality of my early '50s 3X models. I'd consider doing a conversion on it, if I wasn't too lazy to consider doing anything.

Thanks Red. I'm guessing harlequin bird.

Thanks all,
Michael
Thanks, Michael. The blues T&W Lees produced were very good: not too dark and not too light. A touch lighter than the Borsalino Mirtillo colour. Mike has another one of their hats in blue of course.

Thanks Stefan:
Ha yeah, i pointed that out. I think they are starting a “Nutria Rescue” support group or something. You should have seen their faces when the saw the 35 lb zoo images. Wish i’d had my camera but was busy ODing on Chinese.
Never tell the truth if asked the question “what is a Nutria”. Tell em it’s a llama type thing or something. Ha Think they wanted me to move my hat!!
Then again beavers ain’t exactly beautiful. Lol

Show them this image; my guess is that it will temper the rescue mission somewhat

-1920s Sheuerman Coat
-1940s Kuppenheimer suit coat
-1920s inspired shirt I had made years ago

Fantastic top to bottom (I'm taking a guess the shoes are fine too).
