I think with the plethora of options one can reasonably expect to pay between $2-$2.5K...I believe even the bare bones models are around $1800 or so...Just caught up on this thread and checked the Japan website, there are some real beauties!
What's the price range?
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I think with the plethora of options one can reasonably expect to pay between $2-$2.5K...I believe even the bare bones models are around $1800 or so...
Stunning... dang im trying to save up for motorcycle... stop it! Lol
My first was about $1450 the second about a hundred more.
Two hundred more actuallyMy first was about $1450 the second about a hundred more.
But you have to have the gear to be safe!!!
Agreed.
Mygar, some dumb, little teenager texting is going to almost kill you one day. You'll be glad you have a substantial leather jacket to save you from getting skin grafts.
Too many idiots out there staring at their cell phones so I don't even ride my motorcycle to work anymore. I work in an industrial area so lots of large trucks, semis ect and I would get vaporized if I went head to head with one of those.
I ride on days off, weekends, errands after dinner ect.

I actually went down in a Thedi- Low impact but protected me perfectly.
I was actually surprised that there was barely a scratch on the jacket.
Props to Thedi!!!!
Had a quick chat with them, and seems like I should aim either at the Cascade or the Columbia. They're the most functional riding jackets.
I really like the sidewinder but it's not really a riding jacket, which obviously doesn't take anything away from it.
Requested a catalogue to get started
Edit: grammar
I started with a timberline base for my Cafe Racer with Langlitz. The wind flap I had made out of softer goat after struggling with the Aero thick wind flaps while trying to zipper up. Cossack collar. It is the best riding jacket I have ever worn. Do not let the looks fool you. When you supply your dimensions and details the good folks at Langlitz consider small details such as riding position and type of handlebars you have to reach for.. This will be clear as you go over the actual order information they request from you.
They already asked for this detail when I mentioned on that initial phone call that functionality was the priority
I ride slightly hunched in front (not full super sport, but sport touring), so they already told me about making the back a bit longer to accommodate this position among other things.
The heavy cowhide is sold, they currently have 3 - 3.5oz now which should be more than good enough.
You ride a roadking if I remember correctly?

I have a Yamaha FZ09 - sport but upright position.
