Running errands and grabbing lunch with my daughter in a favorite NW Hats grade 12 Cuenca Panama hat. Last free week before starting the new paralegal gig.

My deliveries from Ecuador come through DHL. It costs a little more, but you have a better chance of receiving the items you purchased.

If/when I buy a high end hat direct, I'll make sure to go that route. But this is an inexpensive hat to test sizing and I went with the cheapest shipping since I didn't want to pay more for shipping than the hat cost. :p

Warm weather has me thinking about straw. I'm not a fan of "shantung", but I like the style and venting of this Stetson,, so this one should be here Monday. From our friends at one2mini ranch. Their shipping speed is exceptional.

I’ve admired those Shantung ORs too. I’m looking forward to your review.

I don't buy many hats these days and when I do they're generally something that's just plain fun and/or unusual. They also pretty much have to fall into the "I wouldn't take the time to make that hat for myself" category. That's why, when I saw this vintage Dorian safari hat, I just had to pull the trigger. I suspect (though I'm not sure) that these hats were made largely for the tourist trade and this one's just campy enough to make it to my hat rack. I'm looking forward to seeing it up close and in person.

I was going to pass on this hat but I’ve been curious about the difference between “Stetson Royal De Luxe” and “Royal Stetson De Luxe.”

After I fondle it for a bit I’ll put it in the classifieds in case there is some 7 1/4 Homburg wearer who is interested.

It's in Max's size and he's picked up the homburgs in a big way lately...

Did you ever receive this hat, or did they decide to take it on another intercontinental tour first?
