Peter,
Those are snap downs for the removable Mouton collar I ordered with the jacket. It was truly a thing of beauty until I went to remove it for the first time only to have the Mouton tear right at one of the seams I called Stuart right away and he explained that this happens sometimes, although very rarely, because they use vintage Mouton for their collars. I sent the collar back to him to be replaced. Disappointing, but at least I get to enjoy the jacket as it is in the meantime

honestly I think both the police force and the kids who throw firecrackers at them both have a blast of a day, in one side probably its the childhood dream of every policeman to wear full anti riot gear like roman centurions, on the other side what rebellious teenager don't want to throw firecrackers at lawmen and not get caught on the spot.
