Magnificent hat, Steve. Good that it found a new home, because Alan has two of them I believe. I was interested in that one too, but some doubts about its size and being too large for me held me back. It goes very well with your beard I must say.This WWII era Karl Misik (Kami) arrived today. I bought it off Alan, who originally got it via Steve's Czech haul back in 2015.
It has a very soft, grey heather felt which, by the feel of it, suggests some wool content.
It fits rather nicely and is very malleable.

In my opinion, it looks good with the brim up or snapped down. It also has the iconic look of a hat from that period of European history.
I particularly like the original bow style.

Not only is it blue, it's a very nice blue. Cool find, Stefan.VEB Vereinigte Hutwerke Guben Luxus in dark blue. No label inside the hat, but either a 56 or a 57 because it fits me very well. Brim at 6cm and crown 10cm at the center dent and it weighs 148 grams. These VEB hats aren't always of the best quality, but this one has an excellent hand to the felt. Did I mention it is blue?
