CUSTOM WESTERN HAT: BEAVER FELT BLEND: THERE WILL BE BLOOD: BUCKAROO HATTERS USA
BRAND NEW, TRIED ON ONCE
375 - shipped CONUS

For consideration is one Brand New custom fur felt hat custom made by renowned hat maker Mike Moore of Buckaroo Hatters. This hat is based on the Film character Daniel Plainview's (There Will Be Blood) hat . This is a custom piece I recently commissioned and upon delivery realized that it just wasn't my style. The hat was made beautifully and will no doubt be a welcome addition to the discerning hat wearer/collector. The hat is composed of his 50X Beaver/Wild Hare fur blend and could easily be steamed and re crowned if one were so inclined. The details pertaining to the hat are as follows:

  • 'The Plainview'
  • 7 3/8 Long Oval
  • 3 1/4 brim width
  • 5.5-6.0 inch crown height (highest point of peak) bit of an eyeball measurement
  • Has the Oreanna Crease (the 2 front dents and rear 'mule kick' in the back)
  • Distressing in all the right places
  • 50X Wild Hare/Beaver Blend

I believe the felt is a whiskey or pecan color. I let Mike best match the color up. As for steaming out, I don't see why you couldn't, though it does have some distressing around the dents so how that shows in a new crown shape I'm not sure. Trade wise my first preference is a trade for cash :) BUT as for other Fedora styles; high crowns good size brim, lot of rake, diamond bash....in other words one of the most popular styles on this board lol. The hat quality is top-notch.....only reason its on the sale block is purely a style driven choice. Any other questions please feel free to let me know.

It is most likely a Pecan colour as Whisky is deeper brown with strong yellow undertones. I have a 1950's Stetson in a nice Almond colour as well as an Italian Guerro in a navy blue that match your desired profile. Or I have a custom beaver in a Pecan that fits your profile as well. I am a 7 3/8 oval. If interested send me your email in a PM and I will snap some some pics and give dimensions. In which state are you located?
