Once again, this is why I don't support the Hollyweirdos. Political correctness and craziness have replaced entertainment in Hollyweird.

Theyre ruining everything trying to make everything "woke". There is absolutely nothing wrong with different people having their own roles but to go out of your way to do it is ridiculous (woke ghostbusters). Ugh its frustrating.

Whining about political correctness in Hollywood is usually an indicator that (1) the whiner doesn't have a grasp of Hollywood's back catalogue, much of which, including the old black & white movies, addressed contemporary social and political issues; or (2) the whiner is feeling constrained by political correctness from saying what he or she thinks about various minorities and political viewpoints. But I'm sure you're neither of those apply to you, right?

Theyve gotten really bad in my lifetime. I get tired of all the virtue signaling and attacking others, theyre actors, i dont care about their opinions and i dont feel constrained by political correctness. I think criminals need to be in jail. Illegal aliens need removed, i work for big oil, i drive a diesel pickup, i use single use plastics, i like meat, and they wont be taking my guns. Someone doesnt like, thats too bad. I think greta thunbergs parents should be locked up too.

Yes - Hollywood has always been about making grand statements for or against ideas. Actors have always stood up for political views, from John Wayne to George Clooney. I find people only seem to resent this old tradition when they don't share the views and feel anxious - for whatever reason.

When I watch Tom Cruise's movies, I am always looking for entertainment, not for his acting chop nor his brand of charm. It was a pleasant surprised with his take on Jack Reacher. And if you have read Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels, you'll know that Reacher should be an intimidating, 6ft+, fair hair and blue eyes ex-MP man, and yet, Tom Cruise seemed to be pretty convincing in the movies as a serious character.....

Yes, Cruise is Jack Reacher in personality, and mindset, but obviously not in stature. I've read most of the books, which are slightly more believable than Stephen Hunter's series. Jack is a BIG BOY who has lots to be cocky about. Cruise is almost certainly the best actor for this job, possibly the The Rock could play the part, but he's not confident enough.

I want Johnson to take a run at Doc Savage.

I have seen it many times and being a USN vet that worked on the flight deck, it's a fun movie for me. Unrealistic? yes. Fun? Yes!
These days you can buy the DVD for $10 so why not?

The G-1 in question is Maverick's father's. The patches are from the Vietnam ERA. His father died flying a mission on VN. Changing the patches is just wrong so I hope it is just for the trailers.

I feel the same way every time I watch the film Kuffs. As an Asian American, I object to the depiction of the Asian person as a criminal. Unrealistic, but fun. Note that the scene was actually filmed on the rooftop and in the parking garage of SFPD Central Police Station @ 766 Vallejo Street.

Alternate cuts sold to an international audience has been a popular move for a while now. Heck, just a recent example I read the other day was Hugh Jackman's line asking for a "Dr. Pepper" was changed to "soda" in 2003's "X-Men 2" (in the states it was released as X2: X-Men United"). Some instances are more harmless than others, but assuredly the cut that makes China happy with get released there, while an American friendly cut will be released domestically.
