hookless a-2 jacket ?

I'm going to buy eastman a-2 jacket this time ! on ebay
but it is hookless type ..
Is this an imitation?

exactly. its such a small detail. and I Never use it for what it is intended for anyway. the idea of a modern heavy leather jacket hanging by a tiny leather strip by threads stitched to the back of the jacket is concerning to me lol! someone recently came across a real vintage WWII A-2 jacket that also had never had a hang strip stitched to it. another oversight during wartime production rush.
