What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks

I haven't worn it much until now as I've been waiting for it to finish airing out. It had a pretty severe mildew smell to it when I got it. It was strong enough that it was clearly smellable before opening the box and it was packaged double boxed and inside two layers of plastic bags. I've treated it with vinegar, conditioned it and have been giving it a few months for the smell to go away. The fit is on point with this one though and the leather is very nice so it's worth the work.

So weird! The jacket practically looks new, how did they manage to get it to stink so hard? Good you got the smell out. I would've send that one to the washing machine if it stunk so badly though it does seem to be hard to find a HG in this style and they are really high quality jacket.

It is basically in new condition but was stored somewhere wet for a while. I'm guessing a damp basement or porch or something similar. The zipper had a decent amount of verdegris and the smell was there but there wasn't anything visible on the jacket. I didn't want to wash it since everything else looked good so I've done vinegar, ozone treatment and a lot of airing out. At this point it has a light vinegar smell and not too much else so it's bearable to wear.

This got me thinking, what if Horween did a hide where they drum dye the skin indigo before applying the midnight blue top coat.
Imagine the same colour, that scratches/wears to a deep indigo blue, it has the potential to be be amazing, or would it be too much?
Can you take a couple closeups of that one at wear points please, wondering if there is lighter blue coming through or if it goes straight to brown.

Hm, reminds me of something... There was this leather that was fading electric blue from very dark blue. I mean, kinda reverse but it was very striking and beautiful. Something Japanese it was, I think Red would know. Speaking of which, where is Red??

A little more Eye Candy for you Monitor - Tony first ordered this jacket but decided it was not for him. It's just over a year old now and I have worn it quite a bit. I love it. Looks like JMax's was cut from the same hide. The panel variation is incredible, as it the smell and the way this leather molds to you. It's a special hide indeed...
