My dad has had a 57 Chevy Bel Air station wagon since the late 70s. Some great memories growing up with that car... love the 57.

I still have a VHS copy. My wife is a few yrs younger & she used to ask me how I could watch that movie over & over. I told her she didn't understand. That was exactly what we did every Fri & Sat night! Always brings back memories.

Don't know if they still have them or not, but the Koch Bros used to own the '32, the '55 & the '58 used in the movie. The '55 that was rolled in the final scene was the '55 from the movie Two Lane Blacktop. It was already fitted with roll bar & safety cage so they rolled it.

Right around the same time there was also a movie called 'Corky' where Robert Blake drove across country in a Barracuda looking for races....the one that started it all was 'Thunder Road'. Mitchum started off with a souped up 1950 Ford that he used for hauling Moonshine and then ended up with a souped up '57 Ford later on in the movie.

I definitely remember California Kid. I liked that movie. Sheen drove a '34 Ford with suicide doors. Vic Morrow was the sheriff in that one(?) I wish they would show that movie on TCM, or something.
