Does anyone know the make of riders coat that the late great John Russel wore in Pale Rider whilst being the evil sheriff Stockburn ? It looks like a sandy coloured Marlboro style full length coat. I'm aware it's prob just a costume prop but I've always wanted to get one with the great fit he had.

Another option with different styling is Scully Rangewear:

Heavy canvas, corduroy collar and cuffs. I had emailed them last year and here's the official measurements:

Cheers for all your help, in Europe the only option we have is the odd second hand Malboro duster which doesn't look anything like Mr Russell's as it has a round leather collar and tent like in its cut. Thanks for your response.

Understood, it ***** how certain types of clothing are only available geographically. Mind you, the design of those dusters in Pale Rider is pretty simple and crude, basically a single-breasted overcoat with extra-long skirts and patch pockets. So if you have someone who is a good seamstress and if you can find a pattern for a basic overcoat, you might be able to have one made. Dusters aren't usually lined so that makes it easier.

This place never ceases to turn up the good when I hunt... this is really useful. I've been idly eying one of these for next Spring, and I no longer trust online sellers when they give the size of person an alphanumeric size is suppose to fit. It's shocking how many sellers don't realise somebody might not want their overcoat to fit like a blazer...
