Copied a hat from a Confederate Prisoner at Point Lookout, MD

Here is a hat I made after this cool image of a member of the Washington Artillery of New Orleans who was captured and sent to Point Lookout, MD. The cool thing about this is the brass on the front of his hat was taken off of his kepi. When these guys left New Orleans, they were issued red kepis with this distinctive brass. I had the brass letters and cannons made from an original set on a kepi in a museum in New Orleans. Not being much of a kepi man I was thrilled to see this fellow wearing a low toped plug hat with his brass attached to it. Hope you all like it.

Great job on your cloning the style from a pic. An ancestor perhaps? Regardless, wear it with pride.

Being descended from the loins of Rebels & of the Old 300 I favor the style of the guerrilla fighter.
