I see that the Milliner’s Warehouse has started to sell 100% beaver hat bodies.

Would be nice to know where those hat bodies are coming from. Country of origin is all o would like to know.

My bottle green itch is being scratched, but maybe a burnished copper? Hopefully they restock. After my disappointment with the rabbit fur felt, I think I’ll let someone else be the Guinea pig with the beaver.

Both of mine have 6” crowns on a #52 and Rick said there was enough felt for a 4” brim (I went considerably shorter).

I kind-of-sort-of pulled the 150g body over a 6” #52 block and it looks like it will be a close run thing to get 2 3/4” of brim. It’s in your box heading your way. :)

Thats great, I will get a chance to see one before I decide to order. I am liking the Expresso and Gunmetal in the 150gr

I can do a direct comparison between your Natural Winchester Beaver and the Nutria from Sunrise.

Is there a minimum to order from Winchester? I don’t like millinerywarehouse. Looking for rabbit fur felts at the moment. Thank you in advance.

Winchester is not taking on any new clients now. I buy my felts...Tonak rabbit....from Agnoulito on Etsy.com. Very good quality, good price and selection. I really like the Antelope finish for the extra few $$. Shipping is fairly quick but pricey if you buy one or two. I buy 6 or more ata time and it works out to about $10 per felt. Guy Morse Brown out of the UK sells Czech rabbit felts that are just a few $$ more and a different colour palette. I like his as they are bigger and I don't have to worry about the felt being too small to accomodate a higher crown, wider brim and bigger head.

I was going to give the Millinery Warehouse another try. Their suede finished hat bodies with larger dimensions have me intrigued, but they are out of stock in the colors I wanted. Anyone else here try them?

I am still waiting for my blocking spring to arrive before I tackle the western weight bottle green felt. It is a stiff and ornery beast and I would be glad to never wrestle with one again....maybe dress weight is OK. Their millinery weight felts are good to work with though so maybe that is a good sign.
