Mid-1950s Dobbs Forty Fedora, Size 7-1/8

2-1/2" brim with Guild Edge (Cavanagh Edge). The factory size/blocking sticker behind the sweat band appears to be missing the size, but this hat is the same size as the other Dobbs Forty I have listed and it is marked size 7-1/8.

$400 plus actual shipping.

Please post the inside length and width measurements. what is your best take on the inside circumference?

Thanks for your interest Jon! The length is 7-3/4" by 6-1/2" measured about 1/4" down from the reed. That calculates out to 22.46" circumference using an on-line ellipse circumference calculator. My poor attempt at measuring the circumference came in closer to 22-1/4", but I don't think I was able to do that very well with just a cloth tape and I'm adverse to trying the painter's tape method. The design of that "Headspring" sweatband has some "give" built into it.

Be aware that I have not attempted to flip out the sweat as it wanted to stay where it had been all these years. It didn't really feel dry, but I did give it a light coat of Bick-4. The "Headspring" might be contributing to the lack of easy access to the size/blocking sticker.
