The fit is so good, if this wasn't so long on me I would have had this on the bucket list lol side and back profile pls
Did you try it on? I think the measurement of the jacket does not fully explain the fit in terms of body length. The visual focus on the front is located at the end of the zippers, which is much higher than actual end of the jacket. Here is me wearing my speedmaster size 42.

That jacket fits so well on you, it has a nice form on your body frame overall.

I have not been so lucky to try one on. I don't have a stockist close by unfortunately but based on the measurements of a 36-38 I feels it's a good 1" too long for my frame. I do like other members wearing theirs though, such a cool piece and I would also rather first get a black mulholland then a brown la brea

Thanks! My point is that do not get scared away from this wonderful piece just because of the body length. It looks shorter in reality than on the size table. Speedmaster only dropped in 2013 and 2017 (difference on main zipper and pull chain on chest pockets), and so far I haven’t heard any news that they are going to reproduce this one in the coming seasons. So if your size shows up with reasonable price, really grab the chance! Just be careful it fits tighter than Mulholland in the same size. So if you already have a snug fit on Mulholland, you might consider to size up in speed master.

Ah wow they really don't make them regularly huh, not familiar with how FW cycles their products but that is good to know. Thank you, if a very reasonable deal comes up that's hard to pass on comes I will think about it but I'm set on a black Mulholland for this year then a brown La Brea next year. Noted on the trimmer cut of the Speedmaster pattern, the size 36 Mulholland is a perfect fit for me overall so I'll be maybe a 38 on this.

Same idea for brown la brea... Haven't seen a brown la brea size 36 popping up for sale...

Hope so too! I know a brown la brea size 38 with good condition for sale. But I'm afraid that's too big for you given that you wear a Mulholland 36.
I saw one on eBay as well, I think a 38 will be too big on the chest and too long at the listed 63cm back length. I need something closer to a 23.5" lol

I don’t know how do they measure, but 63cm back length sounds way off to me. Maybe they include the collar? Attached is the back length measurement of my size 40 la brea.

That's reassuring to know, I can rock that back length. Thanks for sharing. So I'm guessing the La Brea is cut closer to a Mulholland?

I'd say they are similar in terms of body length when I look at different sizing table. But I do recall that Mulholland 42 on me looks a bit shorter than La Brea 42 in the front. I think straight zip jacket has more visual tolerance on proportion compared to cross-zip jacket when they have front both open. (I don't know if this makes sense to you, forgive my English being not mother language) Just my own theory haha.

Sleeves length La Brea > Mulholland. The dropping shoulder of La Brea also contributes to this. Maybe one of the longest among FW models. I heard Switchyard also has fairly long sleeves. In terms of chest La Brea also has more room. Actually you can consider to size down to get a better fit. But the chance for a 34 brown la brea...

I get what you meant with the difference of a cross zip/straight zip when open, they do wear hang very differently. No worries, English isn't my first language as well and I'm sure a lot of members too.

Hmm noted on the shoulder/chest width difference, I did notice that last week when discussing the La Brea. Yeah I think the smallest size for a La Brea is a 36, I hope there will some available next year for that pattern or better yet a preowned jacket will be better

You wear that well. The leather is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
