Good Monday evening! Home and enjoying a NO mask moment while sipping a beer.

An aside: My wife has been sick with Covid and a mask at home and work has become de-rigor. She is feeling better, but still testing "positive." Everyday, to date, I test negative and wear my mask nearly all day/evening. The mask fatigue and the worry for my wife are getting old.

I am drinking a Surley Four Seam Screamer. This local beer is a West Coast IPA. It has Cascade,Citra (dry hopping),Mosaic and Warrior (bitter) hops. The dry hopping adds a bit of tropical fruit flavor. All in all it is a fun beer tonight. I am thinking I may imbibe another.

Cheers tonight. Stay safe. Best, Eric -
Enjoy that one, sounds like a winner. I hope your wife feels better and gets clear of COVID soon and that you are able to dodge it. Cheers!

I've been nursing, gophering & chauffeuring a post-op patient since Mon morning. The chauffeuring really started with a pre-op covid test on Fri afternoon New Years Eve. Last night we holed up in a nearby hotel instead of driving 80 mi round trip since her post-op followup was at 7:30 this morning. So I didn't have a HH on Mon & all I had to drink was on the cheap. Next appt is a wk away.

Now at the crabby stage of her recovery & home, I just had to get away for a while for Taco Tuesday & cheap margs.

Safest and fastest recoveries to both of you guy's significant others. It's trying times we're living through.

I thought of you fellas on New Years Eve as I sampled some Ardbeg 10. Didn't get any photos, but I will say it was impressively smooth.

Here's hoping it's a smooth and healthy 2022 for the lot of us.

Maker’s Mark in my Akubra Cattleman after a long day at the barbecue.

Earlier, a friend brought us a bottle of Chivas Royal Salute 21yo whisky. There were seven of us, but I still don’t think I’ve seen a bottle disappear so quickly before. It went down a treat.

It won't be with his namesake whiskey but I'll be making a toast to Elvis Presley's 87th birthday later today.

Excellent tribute toast and good call with not using the Elvis whiskey. Worth more and tastes better not opened.;)

In tribute to Elvis we had the Elvis playlist playing all day in the gym. Cheers Jack.

Good friend to bring a dinner gift. You need to invite them more often. Sounds like an enjoyable barbecue and hosting event. Excellent!

Our temps finally warmed up above 0'f yesterday. It has been hard to do my "normal," and walkabout with a beer on our property. Below is a collage from the past days. Guinness, Founders KBS, Surley Supreme are the beers pictured.

Inspired by the "crazy warm" 20'f weather yesterday I walked about sipping Kilchoman Sanig. It tasted delightful.

This morning I did walkabout in the -7'f temps sipping coffee. Amazing it was feeling "comfortable."

After a dog walk it has warmed up to -2'f and I am enjoying walkabout with a Dangerous Man IPA.

Those bottles are not mine. Just a pic from Graceland I imagine.

Went to a sports bar yesterday wearing a 3X OR in hopes the Texans could bump the Titans out of the AFC #1 seed, but to no avail. Then watched the Steelers beat the Ravens to elimination.

Good morning. We had a "Holiday" gathering last evening. It was finally "safe" to have some family and a couple close friends over to celebrate. I did get a couple host gifts. A bottle of Dalmore Port Reserve and a Scottish Whiskey Expedition box set of whiskeys.

Nice gifts you received! Looks like you will be able to set up some nice Expedition flights & identify favs.

That Steelers/Ravens game was the start of one on the strangest playoff scenarios I have seen. That game got to OT and if it were to end in a tie both teams would be eliminated. Steelers go on to win… and secure a playoff spot… UNLESS… the Chargers and Raiders game later on ended in a tie in which case Steelers would be eliminated and BOTH Raiders and Chargers advance. Then Raiders and Chargers go to OT.

Can’t imagine being a Steelers fan watching that finish to finally see the Raiders pull out a win.

I didn't see SNF but I'm glad the Chargers are out & understand how the Steelers just slipped in thru the back door.
