Comparing these 2 versions of the famous shearling bomber jackets, I would assume the bulkier B3 Bomber jacket is warmer, however is it significantly warmer? Is the B6 jacket suitable for -20 celsius/ -4 fahrenheit or below? If anyone happens to know these 2 particular styles of shearling jackets or something similar to them, I would appreciate your input. Here are 2 links of the different jackets from Thurston Bros website. There are more B3's but the one I choose looks standard enough.

Since the B-6 has lighter shearling, I assume the B-3 with heavy duty shearling is warmer. And at -20 C I would take the thickest I can get ;)

I have both the B-6 and B-3 from Aero. It's currently -1°F (-24°F w/ windchill) and my Aero B-3 is doing very well with only a t-shirt under. The B-6 is a great jacket, but I wouldn't use it for that low of temperature without layering a sweater or hoodie underneath. The B-6 is more wearable and usable: easier to grab and go with it than the B-3. The B-3 tends to be overkill for most cold weather, but I love wearing it.

Same here , if the temperature gets down to freezing I need a sweater and T shirt with the B-6. Only need a T shirt with the B-3 as it’s a beast of a jacket but quite heavy. B-6 is light and much more wearable.

This is valuable input, thank you.
