He does, but I hope he doesn’t. I’ve only recently figured out where everything is.
Wow! Tiny size but so special.
One member here would know. He worked for Trojan and another Los Angeles leather factory. Hope he is still around and would share his Trojan knowledge with us…
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. The Dapper’s looks great. Can you link to it?Very cool to see the whole newspaper. Thanks for sharing.
There is a size 42 Trojan in Japan asking for too much money. I think this was the jacket hung on the wall in Junky before,

I've got a Dapper's one that was referenced off this jacket I think, in Maryam horsehide. The trojan pattern fits very roomy up top, almost like Langlitz but with that funky no side panel half belt in the back. I want to overdye mine to a dark green one day...

That one was really nice in a bigger size too. I hope whoever has the jacket would have the belt loops restored and the lightening zipper replaced with a NOS Talon. For whatever reason the Trojan jackets ask for a lot of money in the Japanese market. I don't understand the logic but I remember seeing them asking for at least ¥500,000, so over $3,000. Not quite Leathertog asking price but very high compared to all other vintage brands. Also the Guidemaster Wolf jackets seems to get decent money there too, and is so much less here and on Ebay. I don't understand the logic behind vintage jacket pricings...I came across the old posting right here in TFL. Looks like it didn’t garner much interest at the time.

I think you're right. This was 140 S. main in 1950. I'm sure they had several other leather suppliers and jacket makers.I remember google map search these LA makers. There must be an old garment district in LA with these shops clustered in that area. Cut and sew is really very light manufacturing, just need tables and good lighting. The tanneries is much heavier manufacturing and I think only the very big shops could have controls over their material supplies, and they would need huge orders from the stores and catalogues to support that kind of quantity. Trojan was a rather boutique sized operation I think, they make up with their really interesting back design.
MacPherson Leather Company recently closed their LA location (not the one on the pic).I think you're right. This was 140 S. main in 1950. I'm sure they had several other leather suppliers and jacket makers.

@Marc mndt unfortunately not. I have my doubts as well. I'd imagine they weren't just making it up and that there was a label in the jacket, but you never know...a Trojan would sell for more than an SG. The ladies one is exactly like what @Canuck Panda posted from Marvins.
I'm with you, it sure looks like a SG. Here are a few more old SGs in the same vein although the last one wasn't listed as a SG.
