Pardon the low-quality shots in the locker room mirror. We’re out here working in the vintage Filson shelter cloth jacket and iron heart black duck canvas overalls — both tough as heck and sadly discontinued. Was a real challenge tracking down a miUSA wool liner vest in medium.

As an aside — anyone else feeling pressure to anonymize their images, not for interpersonal privacy, but to protect from the prying eyes of AI models that doubtless are now all-pervasive, greedily slurping up all of our data into their gaping, ambiguously sentient maws? Just got my LW back from Great Leathers. I had a two way zipper added to make it a little more functional on the bike. Dena did a great job. She said it almost beat her.

Wow! That’s a great jacket.. fit looks about perfect, now I can understand why you were able to let the Flat Head go. I’m glad you did, someone will have to fight me to let that one go! I can believe that the LW horse almost beat her. The only LW jacket I’ve owned was a beast and there is no way I would try to put that leather through either of my machines. Im curious as to which machines they use, actually. Good call on the two-way zip. Stunning Jacket, man!!!

Surprisingly warm day today. Rainbow Country “All State”

It snowed last night in Buffalo New York, and we woke up to freezing rain this morning. Its cold, but not arctic; so I didnt have to pull out the heavyweights. I did need warmth though so I opted for this Royal Candian Air Force Cold Weather jacket. Fairly substantial nylon, filled with quite thick wool batting. Nice collar and it has this nifty hidden hood. The hood lacks any warmth but it does keep your dome dry.

Forgive the bad pics and ugly dirty carpet. I decided to take these photos once I was already at work where I lacked anyone to assist, no good spot to set a timer, or a good mirror. Thankfully the office is getting full renovation at the end of the month, cya later 20 year old carpet!

Happy for some cold weather (SoCal cold, which isn’t really cold) which has allowed me to wear this everyday lately. I think the leather is starting to take on some nice patina. I’m really happy with this beautiful jacket Vanson made for me.
