For FS thread purposes but also because it is such a cool jacket. I'm glad I didn't get rid of my only pair of jeans. . .

The A2 looks great, and I am not even a fan of knits on jackets. But this one works. I am wondering if a layer of a wool pullover would do the trick to warm things up.

Vanson C2 in CW is such a pleasure to put on. Hefty without being stiff, envelops you like a cocoon without restricting movement. It is really meant for the bike, and maybe an occasional daily wear, but like LW, really for the bike. Pound for pound the most jacket for the money if that makes sense. I think @dudewuttheheck made a similar argument to his audience - how to get a real biker jacket without breaking bank - get a used C2. So true.

LW is so known for their heavy horse I feel like I never hear or see their other options. It looks great in pics and you said you’re happy with it. But how would you best describe LW goat? Legit question just don’t see it much with their famous HH being 99% of their sales Im sure.

I have a LW Trojan in hh and a LW A-2 in hh. I love both of those jackets. The horse is thick but supple, drapes beautifully, has a wonderfully buttery hand, etc. I'll show them on here in the next bit of time.

I also have an original issue Vietnam-era goatskin G-1. It is exceptionally tough but also stiff with a bit of a rough hand.

The LW goat is even thicker and tougher than the G-1 but far softer, with a wonderfully delicate hand. It is comparable in weight to the LW horse A-2 and the pattern is every bit as good (completely full range of movement), but it is far creamier in texture.

Judging from this goat A-2, I'd say that if goat were all Stu offered, then he would be famous for goat instead of horse.

I hope it was great! This is the Lewis Leather jacket I would most like to try some day. As of yet, I have still never even tried on a Lewis Leather, so someday I would like to see what they are really like. Enjoy it!

I'm only just getting interested in quality jackets and have ended with a Dominator in green sheep and a Memphis jacket in black horse in quick succession. I'm fortunate that both are a fantastic fit in a stock size for me. I bought the Dominator new at the store and picked up the Memphis barely used. In between I tried a few other makers - nothing has felt anywhere near as good as the two Lewis jackets. I tried a Aero 59'er with very similar measurements to the Dominator and I was surprised by how different it felt and looked.

At this point I kind of feel like I've lucked out finding an off-the-rack size that works great for me and tried (and sent back) a few from elsewhere that didn't feel as good. So I'm probably going to just stick with Lewis for the future, though the next one definitely won't be for a while - the Memphis was just too good a deal to pass up. The staff in London are great, well worth a visit if you ever get a chance.
