Here is an unworn-with-the-tags Simmons Bilt Tail ***ner, size 42, in gorgeous black Horween Milan Horsehide.

Milan is produced for Simmons Bilt exclusively, and is wonderful stuff... It's a combination-tanned horsehide of similar weight, density, and color-depth as the CXL FQHH found on Aero stuff, but more pliable and apparently breaks in easier. All the strength and robustness- just not the stiffness.

The jacket features a neat and fitted cut, a lovely matte-blue satin lining, bi-swing shoulders for easy maneuverability, zip sleeves, adjustable hem buckles, two chest pockets, two hand-warmer pockets, and an internal chest pocket. Thick enough for the road, comfortable enough for the town, handsome enough for the pub or the club.

This one is just a bit big on me. Asking what I paid for it... $650.

Hi Bender,

Beautiful jacket!
Just verifying that the “length” measurement is 26.75” (from bottom of collar to end of hem).

Thanks,
David

Thanks!

I think it's actually closer to 25.5 to 25.75... These pics were taken by the original seller, and while they did a pretty good job with most of the measurements, I'm unsure how familiar they are with measuring jackets.

If you look carefully at the length measurement, the end of the tape is actually right up against the bottom of the collar itself, not the collar seam... It appears to rest roughly an inch past the actual seam one would use to properly measure length...

I've blown it up below, so you can see what I'm talking about...

That makes sense, thanks for sharing information on the length.

When you get a chance, could you please measure the sleeve from shoulder seam straight to end of the cuff?

Sure, in fact I think I will retake all the measurements myself today, and take some new pics... As I said, the pics above are from the original seller, and even though the jacket hasn't been worn, I am the one selling it, so the measurements and pics for this sale should be coming from me. Give me a few hours on this... cheers!

Guys, here are the new pics I took today and proper measurements (in the post below, due to image attachment limits).

Getting this out again today, man, I gotta say, I reeeaally wish this fit me. This Horween Milan leather is just out of this world.

Cheers!

Measurements...

The jacket is indeed 26.75, which surprised me. It doesn't wear or feel that long.

Bender,

Thank you for taking the time to provide to measure and post these measurements. I am sure this is good news for those taller than me (for the longer body and arm length…), but I would not be able to do it justice. Great jacket it should sell quickly!

If this Simmons is "too big" for you may I ask your chest size and waist size ?

In inches sorry if that's rude ?

A PM may be the best way unless you are happy to post that up ?

I do declare! My stars and garters... a gentleman does not ask that of a lady! Your beastly manners have given me the vapors, sir! I may swoon! I have always relied on the kindness of- okay, that's enough of that, lol.

My chest is around 39". I haven't actually measured my waist, but I wear size 30 pants. My shoulders are quite broad, and this fits well in that capacity, just a bit roomy in the body for me, as I live in SoCal, and don't really need extra room to layer.

Thanks buddy but it will be too squeezy on me.

I have both a 44" Simmons Bilt Nebraska and a 44" J100 cafe racer.

Nebraska is neat now, but still fastens, and the J100 wants to split the RIRI 2 way zipper.

Your jacket will be too small for me in my corpulent aged state !

Thanks indeed from Australia for the timely reply
