Really special jacket there. I like the rounded collar - I don't recall you wearing this before. Anyway I checked out their site and this style is Mr. Freedom's take on classic denim jackets from days gone by. Thanks for posting.

It is a very recent addition that I just received a few weeks ago. Have shared it only once before. It is a very very nice design. They added to the classic type 2 design with the shawl collar and the asymmetric slanted pockets. I like the fit as well. Short, tapered, big armholes and generous sleeves. And oh, did I mention the leather. Anyways, it's thick and has beautiful grain!

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes, the shawl collar - that's the description I couldn't think of at the time. I have a big, bulky Schott down filled leather jacket/coat with that type of collar. I really like that style over the usual shirt collar style along with the banded collar that is on most Cafe Racer style jackets.

I was always hoping MF would do a leather version of their Cowboy Jacket.

Thanks for another image of your Raw HH Aero Type III. As I mentioned before, my Natural Vicenze HH has aged nicely over the 2 years of ownership. Part of that time the jacket was outside getting some sun to help darken the very pale tan color that helped it season since wearing it long enough to do so would take longer than I was willing to invest. It is now a nice tan-caramel that will continue to grow deeper in hue along with character and patina.

Taking picures as the jacket ages/seasons would be neat as you would have a timeline of the jackets arrival and how it transitions into a more desirable piece of outerwear over time.

Sure thing. I'll be keeping track but it's pretty early and so far the difference is subtle.

Rockafella today, the one that started it all for me.

First time wear on this absolute time capsule of a "Vanson Associates." It's the same brand but from an earlier era. Must have been a closet queen because at around 40 years old it's still in mint condition. The tag says 44, which I would never guess is the right size, but I'm thrilled that to my eye it's a perfect fit. The pattern is discontinued and Kim's best guess is that it's an older version of the model B.

Included the last photo to show an up close view of the leather. It feels quite supple, but I am not so experienced with older jackets. Judging by this photo and the others, should I consider conditioning? Does anyone have recommendations of which product to use if so? It's a beautiful jacket in overall excellent condition, and I'd love to wear it for years to come!

Yesterday was chilly enough to wear my Model E, but I didn't get a picture. Today it was warmer and I wore my Chinese half belt on the way to enjoy an iced latte and finding it was warmer than expected so I could had gone without any jacket at all!

I've also been wearing these Nicks boots I got from a lounger to break them in and they are getting quite comfy now. Truly blown away by their construction, far sturdier than I would ever need but loving them... Even if they look like massive clown shoes from this angle.
