Hi, it's been a while since I posted here, I've aged a bit, quit smoking, put on a few pounds as well, but my Aeros still fit.
FQHH Highwayman and CXL Steerhide Cheyanne.

Wow! So great to see you back! Sure glad to know you are doing well.

Huge congratulations on the quitting of smoking. While I have never smoked, and therefore tried quitting, but I understand it's exceptionally difficult to do. Wear those great Aero's in great health!! :)

I'm gonna do a little blogposting if yall don't mind. I set out to buy a leather jacket, primarily as motorcycle gear. I decided that I really wanted a jacket with an asymmetrical zipper, with belt, and preferably no shoulder epaulettes. Thick, sturdy leather was a requirement, as I often commute at interstate speeds. I also wanted it in any color other than black, to avoid a Tom of Holland leather daddy look. I nearly pulled the trigger on a Fine Creek Leon in Shinki horsehide, but stumbled across the Schott P613s in burgundy while hemming and hawing about it. Ultimately, I decided on the Schott, as it appeared to be made of thicker leather and was about 500 dollars less.

I posted a few weeks ago in the "How many jackets do you have coming" thread about purchasing the jacket. I had initially ordered a large, and when it got to me I was absolutely swimming in it. I sent it back completely hassle-free to Schott and requested a medium, which arrived not long after they received the one I sent back. I think it fits great! I'm 6'0" 165 pounds. It's just a touch too long in the waist when I'm on the bike, and the shoulders are a little restrictive, but I think that's entirely due to how thick the leather is and I haven't broken it in much yet. I'm very excited to get a little more riding time in it, I feel like it's going to break in wonderfully.

That colour looks awesome!
Being a rider myself too, I think it's too long on the body. When you sit on the bike the jacket will probably ride up to your chin, depending on how hard the leather is. I'd suggest a chrome tanned leather for riding since it's softer and a bit longer here or there tends to be balanced out by the softness of the leather. If Schott can supply one with shorter waist length then it would be perfect.

Then again it could just be my perception from the photos, if it feels right don't let my opinion deter you! Wear it in good health.

Yeah, it is a bit long, but my bike is pretty upright so it's really not that noticeable and the collar isn't bonking my helmet or anything.

Gorgeous color/leather! Buy way too long in the body.

Tellason chore coat for a few miles in the woods with the doggo. I like chore coats for the length. They adequately cover an untucked shirt. What i don’t understand about them is the open patch pockets. If you’re actually doing chores in them any tool you put in the pockets falls out when you bend over. I suppose i could jump down a rabbit hole on their history, but not today. The weather is waaaay to nice to be online today. Peace out.

@3.14nche, that aero looks amazing, but what caught my eye is the pants. I like the pockets. What are those?

These are Soso (the relaxed cut) in mahogany wool but I don't think they stock that fabric anymore.
I asked for custom patch pockets similar to those on the chopper pants from Pike Brothers.

Schott 613. Something I’ve learned along the leather journey is that this is the crosszip style i prefer. I really like the J-24 zipped up but unzipped i don’t care for the large wind Flap. I also like dual hand warmer pockets and find them completely usable.
I could not get used to the D pocket Black Stallion I owned. I really need to have two handwarmer pockets on all my jackets.
