This is absolutely gorgeous--not only is it made from beautiful dark brown horsehide, but it's lined in a gorgeous Harris Tweed! This is EASILY the most attractive jacket I've ever come across.
This is easily the best Highwayman I've ever seen!
Made from beautiful and sturdy Front Quarter Horsehide in a rich dark brown, this has all of the features of the classic Aero Highwayman--and then some! It features button cuffs, the main zipper is a lovely Talon, and the chest pocket zipper comes with a ball-and-chain pull. The zippers all work perfectly.
This jacket is lined in a GORGEOUS Harris Tweed--a beautiful heathery herringbone is soft shades of heather, moss , and slate, with a gorgeous bracken overstripe. This is one of the most beautiful tweeds I've seen! It was hand-woven in the Hebrides of Scotland.
The sleeves are lined in olive cotton drill.
The two deep external handwarmer pockets are lined in lovely dark chocolate moleskin, as is the deep interior security pocket.
Naturally, the interior pocket, the lining, and the ball-and-chain pull were all upgrades to the original design.... The Harris Tweed lining makes this wonderfully rare!
It was, of course, Made in Scotland, and was originally sold by Thurston of Seattle.
The jacket is just starting to break in, and has some small creasing and patina associated with this long process--and two larger scuffs on the lower back--please see pictures! It is in excellent condition.
The current Base Price of the Premier Highwayman from Thurston--not including upgrades, such as the tweed lining--is $1, 625.
