That color is primo!

That's how I obtained my 118 - on a trip to NYC visiting friends, wife bought it for me for a belated birthday gift (birthday is Christmas Day). She's going back next month... wish I could say I was going with her. :D :D
That’s awesome man she finally warmed up to the idea of jackets and is having her own custom jacket made with Johnson’s here are photos of the two contenders even tho I already chose the 370 duke I also fell in love with the delivery jacket in bison maybe I get it for myself for Xmas

Between my Vanson, Aero 30's HB, a couple Langlitz and a few Schott, I think my wife has lost her patience, I need to tread lightly. :D :D

That lighter color 370 Duke [??] looks fantastic.

That's one of my favourite looking jackets and the hat matches it perfectly.
Hat is a NRA era (mid-1930s) Knox. Price control sticker is still behind the sweatband.

Was in Nashville before Thanksgiving and took my boy to the Predators-Panthers game. Just walked up to the counter at game time and bought tickets. Very fun.
I was fortunate enough to see a few Red Wings games at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit (since torn down). Hockey is a great game to watch in person. Speed and skill is easy enough to capture on TV, but seeing it live is even better. What really stands out that TV doesn't convey, however, is all the action and positional buildup away from the puck.

Stompin Tom's the man :)
In addition to Stompin' Tom the home team could have used a good intermission Don Cherry tongue lashing. They were thoroughly embarrassed last night.

Did you get that Bates in yet? I'd like to see fit pics if you did.
There was a slight delay with the Thanksgiving holiday and then the snowstorm, so it arrived 3-4 days late. But it did arrive this past week. I'll see if I can get around to getting something one day this week. I did try it on quickly and my suspicions were confirmed that it was part of a racing suit. There's a zipper around the bottom hem to connect to pants. So it fits cropped and a bit snug around the bottom. I'll need to think about how I want to wear it and what bottom(s) would work best.

Is it in any meaningful way though? I’d certainly be wary of a form-fitting jacket with chest darts that don’t make sense for my physique, but this appears to be a baggy pattern not particularly tailored to any specific form.

If I liked the style I would rock it, but then again many of my leather-jacket wearing musical/sartorial heroes/influences likely paid little attention to which aisle their clothing came from…
Yeah that was my read too no darts, no shaping, just that big relaxed 80s/90s drape.
Honestly, if it wears good, it is good.
Appreciate you clearing it up makes me feel even better rocking it :)

22f out. Taking doggo for a hike. Definitely the wrong tool for the job. I have plenty of tech wear. However, if i only wore my leather jackets when it was practical it wouldn’t be practical to have them at all.
LW J-23 for @wrecklessglory
Ruffwear puffer for @nottherealhankaaron (haven’t convinced him to go leather yet).

I'm currently on a nylon jacket kick. The leather jackets are stored away for the winter, and the shearling coats are hanging within easy reach. But I only have three shearling coats, and since I don't want to wear the same thing all the time, nylon jackets are a cheap way to add some variety.
