Negative. Looks great. Aging nicely. I thought the innovator had a tight taper in the waist but, if i may, you look like a “regular guy.” Can i ask what size you went with.Loving this one. Sorry if I’m blowing up the thread. View attachment 755876 View attachment 755877 View attachment 755878
Wow! Grand slam! The leather looks incredible and Vanson is the bomb! Wear that beauty in good health!
Perfect! Literally could not imagine a nicer Trucker! I also am a big fan of snaps on these (esp leather). That color leather will only get better too!
Cheers fellas,Not sure how I missed your post but this jacket is Spectacular! It does indeed look like leather denim which was your goal as well as the fit. The Maverick is the Best styled/fitting Type III style jacket and I have 3 of them in different colors. This will season up nicely over time and become one of your favorite jackets I'm sure. I have an Aero Type III in the Navy Vicenza w/contrasting caramel stitching which is a great jacket but yours is next level! I've attached an image for reference although I think some are sick of seeing it again.
Keep us posted on the transition. View attachment 755978

Thank you! I went with a size 44. That’s my typical size. I’m fairly certain if I wanted a slightly looser fit than a 46 would work too. But I haven’t tried on a 46. I’m 5‘10“ tall, 190 pounds, and fairly athletic build. My waist size is 34 inches.Negative. Looks great. Aging nicely. I also had a great experience having Vanson make a custom jacket with leather I provided. They are a class act from top to bottom. And their stuff is ******proof. I’ve had their more purpose built riding jackets over the years and they’re phenomenal!Cheers fellas,
Oh wow 3 mavericks and this on top, your trucker game is certainly on point. I live fairly close to Vanson, and this was one of my first custom jackets, so when I tried on the size 40 and knew the fit was perfect, having the opportunity to bring my own leather felt like a cool opportunity to get creative.
I've previously only owned a Maryam leather jacket in a lighter weight. This one is a full 3 oz, and will take some breaking in, but I'll savor the process. Can't wait to see how it ages.
