A very generous gift from a member here who prefers to remain unnamed: a pristine mid-1980s 5X Resistol San Jose.

There are still good people out there.
Looks great…. The mysterious gifter certainly knew where this hat should find its home! Well done to both of you.

Love seeing all the big hats recently posted here.

I found this early 80s Tom Mix a stone’s throw from my house. It is loaded with lots of goodies: 8” crown, 5” brim, JBS branding iron pin, handmade braided rawhide stampede cord, and it came with a hat can that is sturdy and big enough to hold two such hats. Sadly, my buckaroo days are behind me or I’d be keeping this beauty.

Among other wonderful gifts, my wife graced me with a hat for Christmas. It’s another Resistol from their Stagecoach Collection, with some extra-special (to me) attributes. First off, it’s a model I’ve not only never seen before, it’s one I’ve never even seen referenced: a Sundance, in Chestnut color. Second, it’s the only Stagecoach I’ve ever owned that still had the original collection hatpin attached. Woo-hoo!!

4. Rebel Outlaw Rider Josey Wales.

3. 1957 (Good name for a Yellowstone Series and a very popular yet standard model for Western heroes and bad guys alike - mine's more Chuck Connors meets James Garner with a hint of Alan Ladd).

2. El Scorpio (Wild Bill Hickok meets Charley Prince) - scorpion imprint on the leather hatband.

1. Red Dead Harlow (I actually helped make it myself and totally proud of it!) - You can get one from The Last Best West yourself, I can give the link to it.
