Hello all. In an effort to engage more I thought I would put up a little write up on my new Tin Duck trucker Jacket.

Ordered on Feb 3, 2025 and recieved today November 5 2025, darn near 9 months to the day for this canvas baby. I was getting antsy after about 6 months but today makes it worth it.

Specs:
Tin Duck Trucker Jacket
24oz olive canvas
wool lined in yellow check
Size - XL ( stock measurements)
options - one welted pocket on the inside with a snap and leather flap (I siupplied a roll of leather initially wanting a leather collar but eventually just using a small amount for the pocket welt.) Jason allows some alteraitons and cusomizing.
cost was 500 USD
wait time was 9 months near to the day. Wait time was much less in prior years, but after getting more attention online orders went way up. So be patient it is a one man show and he is great to work with.

The process to order is as easy as any other website, but you won't see anything about alteration or custom measurements etc on there. You may not even see the colours available and might want to ask like I did about the olive 24oz. You put in your stock order and closer to build date Jason will reach out for any alterations or customizing.

Then you wait. Hopefully more patiently than I did.

I ended up going with a welted inside pocket and yellow check wool liner in stock. XL measurements and no gussets but did add the waist sinches if only for detail since Jason does not offer them normally on the 24oz since they do not hold very well to the thickness of the material. I understand that and wanted them only as a visual detail, I will never tight up the waist and hope it stays put, Jason explained this clearly.

The deatails in this jacket are so well done. Stitching is immaculate, pattern is great too, even everything being about 1" larger in measurement than I would like for a nice trim fit works out wonderfully because the pattern fits a human body so well! it look great with a tshirt or with a thick layer under it. Movement is also very easy even without gussets. Solid pattern and solid workmanship for sure.

This is the quientsensial waxed canvas work jacket to me. Better than my Ship John, better than my Filson Tin cruiser. I will never wear another one besides this.

For reference I am 6'2" 225 and this is an XL stock sizing

How is the warmth level on that lining? Do you now have any changes you would have made with your order now having had it for a few months?

Warm enough to about -10C for in and out of car, short walks with a layer under. Not exactly a cold weather jacket but great for fall and early spring I suspect.

I would have slimmed the chest measurement just a little but really nit picking, it’s really great.

I have the TIn Duck Denim in 24oz Waxed twill with wool liner and it's an amazing jacket. I can wear it in temps around the 30's. I've put on some weight, and no longer have much room to layer. Otherwise, I would have been able to wear it in the 20's with more layers.

There's only 2 small areas that I would nitpick on:
1) The snaps on the back come undone easily.
2) The sleeves are lined with wool (because I have the wool liner variant), and it tends to catch / scrunch my shirt sleeves when I put the jacket on.

100% agree about the snaps

Owner did tell me he doesn’t offer the hem snaps anymore because of this. I asked for them anyway as an aesthetic choice which he did. And they do not hold, the snaps he has simply don’t fit tight enough. If they were buttons/holes it would be fine.
