It's in the 60's today, and what better choice than my Cooper A2.
What a beauty!!Walter Dwyer landed, surprise! It fits, less a couple inches in the sleeves. I'll keep it, it's an amazing find, given the condition, etc.
I'll post details to the related thread on WD jackets when time permits.

What model ?Woolrich today for me. Just love this jacket
I am a big A-2 fan- Tried several makers. Don't care for some of the Aero's, mcCoys to tight in shoulders for me. Cant beat the real thing but not something to wear often or risk rain on. I have to say that never disappointed with ELCs and surprisingly the right Avirex are great for the price. Have 2 X-15 horsehide. Had one goat painted as a tribute. Its real comfortable, not to boxy.Maybe some people are getting a little bored with black cross zips ?
Probably not though, most likely it's that better looking good quality A2's have been able to rise above the see of krappy oversized generic bomber jackets.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Have you tried a 90's orange label Cooper ?I am a big A-2 fan- Tried several makers. Don't care for some of the Aero's, mcCoys to tight in shoulders for me. I think the Avirex (my guess) has a variety of makers so some do ****. I have not tried the cooper but have been temped on a few occasions. Also not the fivestar A-2 but did a custom luftwaffe. More mid range I tired the AVI leather out of denmark, seemed ok. I'll post some labels on the Avirex. I have 2 horse and maybe 2 others (sold some).Have you tried a 90's orange label Cooper ?
I wanted an Avirex but was told they weren't that great then I went for my Cooper which I've been extremely happy with, later I hear that the earlier Avirex A2's are great and I'm curious how they compare.
I don't know which labels to look for and their A2's in general always command much more than a cooper, It also seems like a lot of Avirex A2's in my size on eBay were in Japan for some reason.

CoolMore photos of my new old Aero FQHH Motorcycle jacket. 15 years of heavy motorcycle riding took it from black to what you see here. Aged to perfection!
