Well, if I had paid full price for it I wouldn't be happy. The contrast stitching makes it look worse, I wonder how it passed the QC.
Obviously there you have many layers of thick hide (they do not skive the leather at the seams as other makers do) but still...
Contact the Aero guys. Their CS is excellent, I think they will offer a satisfactory solution.

That looks very wonky. Something I might expect to find in a trainee jacket, maybe, but if so they should price it accordingly.

It looks great and if you’ve already contacted aero then you’ve made the right move already. Great customer service.

Fit pics next!

Beautiful jacket! Congrats!

A bit wobbly, I do agree. Also, there seems to be some tension on the thread in one photo. Do show it to Holly/Denny to see what they have to say.
Visually, I would not mind much. It’s a handmade product, and I don’t expect “perfection“. Other may disagree, but personally, a quintessentially rugged utility piece can have a bit of a rugged stitching.

That‘s sloppy work. Totally fine on an entry-level leather jacket, but on a 1000++ GBP jacket, not so much. Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt mind seamwork like that at all, part of the Aero charm is the ruggedness, however I would not want to pay luxury item money for that.

While manufacturing standards may vary, I concur with some others that at least some of the pictured items ought not to have passed Mfr's Quality Control if the jacket was being offered at full price.

I suggest First contacting the Vendor for resolution of the problem. If no joy, Then contact the Mfr for resolution. Suggest it is useful to be able to supply very decent pix, possibly with a legible scale or ruler included for perspective.

For the future benefit of others, suggest collecting Vendor/Mfr responses as needed.

In my opinion, despite their 28-point QC, profit is still a major factor here. It seems they’re willing to try and sell items with such flaws at full price, hoping the brand name will blind the customer. To be honest, since the cuff is circular, the issue is only really visible if you’re looking closely for it. However, the flaws are there, and I’m sure they were noticed during QC.
I’ll get back to you as soon as there’s any news.
While I can understand receiving something which doesn’t live up to expectations can be very frustrating I think going public before the manufacturer or retailer has had the opportunity to at least propose some sort of solution is unfair and not helpful.

No matter what the business is it’s a fact of life that mistakes will unfortunately always occur. However, it’s how that mistake is dealt with and resolved which shows the quality, or otherwise, of the company.

You’ve said you’ve already raised the issue with Aero Leather, so at least wait for their response before making some pretty serious accusations.

Suggest we all "settle down" and await definitive comments from Mfr/Vender/OP.

Going beyond that is unwarranted at this point, and likely complete speculative B.S.

I agree with others who have said it does not look like it meets the expectations of a jacket at this price point. It is a gorgeous leather and I love the PHWM…..actually considering getting another one, but through Thurston Bros. Carrie looks them over pretty good before sending them on and it’s nice to have her feedback.

Problem is, for me anyway, once I see a flaw, I can’t unsee it and it eventually ends up in the resell bin as I seek out new and “perfect” leather jackets (if such a thing exists)

Interested in seeing what response you get from Aero.

Gorgeous jacket! To me it looks a little short in both the length and the sleeves for my personal taste. Would help if your shirt was tucked in so we can see how it lines up on your waist/belt.

I can take more pictures later. The jacket fully covers my belt, so I think the back length is okay. The sleeves are also fine for me, but they shouldn't be any shorter. How much shorter will the sleeves get once they break in? Does the chest and back look like a good fit to you too?
I think so. Chest and back look good to me.
Sleeve length is always subjective. (On a new fit I like them down to the knuckle on my thumb when my arms are down by my side to make up for the shortening when they start to create) some like em shorter than others. If the jacket covers your belt I think you are good to go and have a great fit! Sleeves will shorten once creases set in…can sometimes be as much as an inch in my experience. How do they feel with your arms extended straight out?
