It looks like Ralph’s Pugh contributed to helping produce B-15 flight jackets during WWII.
The jacket is in bad shape, but it’s fascinating to see.

Re bottom jacket from your quote, it’s CSC’s signature double-ring leather strap, more similar to the below link except chest pocket and cuff leather strap.
