I messaged the seller last night, OK early this morning, and asked if he'd consider a BIN. He did so I snapped it up.

He has/had two other 7 5/8 Fedoras listed earlier as BIN items.

BTW gang, be careful re that seller with the Buy It Now 7 5/8s.
A couple of them measure 23" inside circ., which is really a 7 3/8 and a little too small to stretch 2 sizes. (7 1/2=23 1/2"; 7 5/8=23 7/8")
Sellers who know their market will often stretch the truth to try and meet it.

You might write the seller for clarification.
It's pretty clearly a different hat in that last photo.
The closeups certainly don't have bound brims- you
can see the edge. Wonder what he's up to?

If it matters to you, that is. Both are nice hats.
My guess is the bound one is older- it has a more
involved bash.

Very nice hat. Reminds me of one of the Nero Wolfe episodes where an organized crime type showed up in a hat like that with same shade overcoat and always thought that particular outfit looked really sharp in a sea of navy, black, blue and gray overcoats.

Sure looks like a beautiful lid, Carter. I like the shape of the C-crown, and the color of the ribbon against the color of that felt is gorgeous. Looks like the light green tint found on an OR, but done in a wider ribbon. Great look. Congrats! :eusa_clap

Thanks for pointing that out.

Clarification from seller indicated he had neglected to remove the incorrect photo of the fedora with the bound edge. This Biltmore has a raw edge.
