Bow ties are having a resurgence and are more available than when I started working. Go for it I say. The key is to wear it with confidence.

I have buttoned in waistcoat slips on my stroller suit. It add a real touch of elegance to the overall look.

With the braces with waistcoat thing, undo the braces at the back of the trousers and there is enough give to sit, do your business and then it is just a matter of doing the back buttons back up. No need to remove the waistcoat. Can be a bit fiddly at first, but then you get it down to a fine art.

Thanks Peacoat, I appreciate your suggestion. This is probably what I'll do. The sleeves may still be a little short even with doing that. Has anyone used any other ways to extend an overcoat sleeve?
