Somehow, I found this site through internet searching. I also found Art Fawcett and he is currently making me a fedora. This has all happened in less than a week; I'm glad I found Art though.
How fast is the turn-around time for Art's work once he has the conformer? At what point in the process do you specify ribbon and outer lining (around the brim)?
Is anyone an expert on how hats are made? Particularly fedoras (of course), but I'm also interested in top hats (because of Gene Wilder/Willy Wonka). I've looked for a "How It's Made," but can't seem to find it.
I am a bit worried that it will just be special effects with no heart. But, it's freaking Captain Jack Sparrow. He could recite purchase orders for pencils and people would be enthralled by his presence.
There is still hope for movies. Fantastic Mr. Fox was a visual and intellectual treat. However, with garbage like Twilight becoming popular, I can see how people can be discouraged.
