I purchased this vintage Borsalino a couple of weeks ago. I do not know its age. All I can tell you is that the felt is exceptionally soft and supple. The color is grey (I think) with a hint of sage green. It does not have a liner.
If anyone can tell me anything about it, I'd appreciate it...
I'm not wearing it today but I was wearing it yesterday--my new bespoke fedora from Hufvud: silverbelly beaver felt and silverbelly bound edge, with silver 2" hatband.
I love this fedora!
That narrow brim Homburg reminds me of a hat I saw in a movie once. I think I'm thinking about the hat worn by the professional gunfighter in Open Range.
