Fwiw, I LOVED mine. I can't find them at the corner store but there different from all the other greasers out there that wear the Chucks. I do think that there more comfortable too. They actually pre-date the Chucks and use to be made from the same rubber that B.F. Goodrich's were made of. Mine...

I like the 327 a lot too. I'm just trying to stay period correct. I was going to build it fairly mild. I wanted 300hp with either 3 2's, or mechnical fuel injection. Anymore than that would be gravy. I'm more of a cruiser now. I've been kicking around an idea of a 348 too. I'm not in the market...

It was a 283 before I got it. Now it's a 350/350 turbo combo w/ a 4.11 rear. Quick but hard on the wallet at the pump, lol. Everything else is stock. I would love to find a 283 and hop it up like they would have done in 58-60 or so.

I'm trying, lol. What model G.M.C.? I have a buddy that has a 58 Suburban Carrier (G.M.C. Cameo). There good old trucks. I've had mine for a while. I'm waiting till it blows up to restore it. For the last 13 years I've just been having fun with it.

Sorry Hemingway Jones. What I was getting at was when my hair comes out right because I finally found a barber that knows vintage hair styles. Another thing that makes me feel vintage is walking in the barber shop to get my hair cut. He's got a real 40's-50's feel in there.

I agree with Forgotten Man. I have always felt vintage, dressed the way I do, while I'm driving in an old car listening to music from long ago.

My vote for favorite car from then has to be a Lincoln Zephyr or a fastback G.M. I had a 47 Fleetline and can't get those out of my head. I love your car Straighteight. These cars have such art deco, classic style. One day I will have another or something really close.

I agree with you. It seems like no one cares anymore. Even when I don't care I still have style, I think at least. Either that or I look like a stupid greaser, lol.
