Tootal - The Company History and its products (ties, scarves etc)

Back after a brief sojourn, today another Tootal scarf and this time one of my very favourites! It’s a red scarf with a large paisley pattern and a Tebilized label, with the cooler weather now here in Adelaide, Australia this one will get quite a work out! Hope you like it!

Here’s a really bright red Tootal scarf with a nice paisley print, the yellow highlights really pop! Being a bit shorter and narrower I’d again say this is 60s vintage but who really knows! Enjoy…

Talking Tebilized Tootal scarf labels the two below are the only versions I have seen so far, I believe the top one is the older as it is sort of in the format of the patent pending ones I have which I know are older, what do others think or more precisely does someone know for certain?

Back to the 1940s this time! A blue Tootal scarf with a very cool and unusual pattern. This has one of the two types of ‘Tebilized‘ labels I have seen, I have no idea which of the labels was first anyone know?

Okay something different this time, a Treasure brand scarf with Tootal fabric, when I first saw this in the op shop the fringes looked Tootalesque so I checked it out but the hidden knots stood out. I reckon it is a dress scarf to go with your tux the hidden knots on the tassels make it look a...

Time to brighten things up, here another Op Shop find yellow with a repeated geometric pattern and vivI’d red fringing! My guess is 60s or 70s era Scarf? I wear this with a dark jacket/shirt combo and it rrally leaps out! We’ve moved from summer to autumn here in Australia but you wouldn’t know...

I rarely see green Tootals last year I picked up two at op shops . This one features the classic small white polka dot design, it has a label and fabric make me think it is 60s or 70s vintage…

Today a nice red scarf with a tight ordered pattern from the 60s (I would estimate), in fact I have two with the exact same pattern and label what’s the chances of that with the myriad of Tootal pattern scarves out there! Also I was lucky this week and picked up a Duggie in perfect shape for $3...

This week another classic selection of colours and design from Tootal! A cool silvery grey with alternating geometric and paisley decoration topped off with gold tassel! Interesting the label is sewn on crookedly I’ve seen a few Tootals like this maybe assembled late in the workers shift … I...

Here we go again with what I reckon is a venture into the 1960s, the pattern, the label and fabric feel give me that impression. blue with unusually geometric paisley pattern and two tone tassels what is not to love, in pristine condition, one of my favourites! Cheers

Hello! This week after a couple of unusual designs I am going with a classic, wine with small polka dots. It is a Tebilised one so from the late 40s I would guess. It is one of my earlier pick ups and from an op shop with a price tag of $4 Australian. Talking prices what do others like/want to...

Today posting the scarf that started my collection madness . This scarf dates from the mid 1940s my Dad bought it with one of his first pay packets! A very distinctive pattern, look carefully at the label close up picture you can see a small brown dot from a cigarette burn you’ll also notice on...

This thread seems pretty quiet, I have been slowly collecting Tootal Scarves and Cravats over the years, my father ‘s 1940’s vintage one was the trigger to do this. There’s a lot of quality looking items been listed! I’ll add some of mine over the next few weeks, following is my latest pickup...
