I can’t believe Akubra killed off the taupe color Campdraft - a great color. If I had known, I would have ordered 3 of them and stored them away. Other than going to a funeral or wearing black tie, can’t imagine ever wearing a black hat.

No, it’s new. I just tried a suede brush (with the soft metallic bristles) instead of just a hat brush and it helped considerably.

I have a Selentino velour finish hat where the finish seems to have been crushed or matted down in a certain area. I’ve tried brushing to lift the nap, but it hasn’t helped much - can one apply steam to a velour finish hat, or will it mat down the finish? Any other suggestions for raising the...
