Vintage maternity and vintage clothes for kids

Does Anyone Dress their Children in Vintage or Vintage Repro? Just curious? I know that there are lots of people who adopt vintage as a lifestyle, but I'm curious if this extends to the children also.

    Petticoats and Crinolines.

I remembered this photo and just had to go dig it out........it was taken in 1955 and it's Me, My MOM, My Foster Sister ..... notice the difference in lengths, petticoats and shoes on the 3 different ages. I miss the time when clothing and behavior was "Age Appropriate"..LOL I was 7, my Mom...

    Petticoats and Crinolines.

LOL..........Very Interesting Discussion. I was a Pre Teen in the 50's..........but I had older cousins.......and NONE of them (even the wilder ones) would let their slips show......Full or Straight.....if a girls slip was showing someone would gently remind them to pull it up by saying "It's...

What do you do for Living?

Sadly, I sell Vintage Stuff, but it's been kinda slow lately. But that's only a 3rd of our total income. We also have an Interior Plant Maintenance Business (which has decreased in size by 2/3 since 911), and the DH works for a Funeral Home. Which is part of the reason for our name...

Can you help me date this item??

Well it measures 39 inches from the neck to the hem, which is pretty short for either era.......although they didn't differ much from 38-45..... Reckon it could be later.....it just doesn't look or feel War Years........but .... maybe...... That's why I'm asking.......it's an enigma for me...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I liked "There will be Blood" but it strayed so far from the original Sinclair Lewis story that it was hard to comprehend.......... We watched "Bucket List" the other night and it is probably the best movie that either Nicholson or Freeman ever did...........or maybe it's just the fact that...

Can you help me date this item??

I need some real help dating this Dress! When I first got it I thought it was 40's. Then in looking as some late 30's patterns I decided it was late 30's, and then I changed my mind and decided it was early 40's........and now I just don't know. The pleated sleeve caps could be either...
