Recent gun shop find.
Ruger Red Label 12 ga. with 28" barrels. I checked the serial number, it was made some time in 1987.
Those aren't shells in case you're wondering, they're snap caps.
This sat in the display case at my local shop for a few weeks. Fortunately it's old and obscure enough that most people don't know what it is. When they dropped the price I snapped it up.

If you like the looks of the model 29 but don't want to deal with .44 level recoil you have an option. Look for a S&W model 27 or 28. They're chambered in .357 magnum and use the same size (N) frame. They're very soft shooting guns thanks to their weight/size.
