Thanks for the insight. I've seen an avorio Borsalino before and it was a nasty dirty grey/beige color - probably owned by a heavy smoker. I guess I'll try my luck and see what comes of it.

1996 model in green. Intended to replace a brown Akubra that is a little too big. 6.5cm brim. Anyone have an idea why the sweatband seems stretched at the top? I don't notice it while wearing but I wonder if I can do anything about the aesthetics?

I received my second Borsalino, and bismuto is a strange color. Against grey it appears brown, but worn with brown it appears grey. I guess it's quite versatile if you want to avoid wearing a matching hat! Brim is 6.5cm, my preferred width. Felt is materially thicker and stiffer than my blue...
