Suit Worn by Chris Pine in Wonder Woman

Doubtless made specifically for as part of the normal wardrobe requirements, will certainly not be a model in any shop.

Help with 30s style made to measure suit

I assume that all the detail including period style pockets (not to current pattern/presence) are planned? How much longer will this suit take, seven months now!

Wearing white tie to a black tie event?

Black tie means ....black tie. It would be crass to wear white tie. You will simply look like a fool and be mistaken for the butler.

Detail of suits 1950s esp in UK

Thank you Edward, that is very helpful. I plan to go for as close to authenticity as I can for this one, that's part of the enjoyment I think. So, one inside pocket it will be, no back pocket and a button fly. Yes I'd rather hoped Two Types would have offered his thoughts given he is an...

Detail of suits 1950s esp in UK

I'm looking at getting a 1950s style suit made (decent MTM), but off the rack style, low to mid-price range that the man in the street would have, not MTM/bespoke. Does it feature detailing which Americans would expect and which were not commonplace for RTW suits in the UK market at the time - two in-breast pockets, two back pockets etc?

The large inner pocket is reminiscent of a 'poachers pocket' but this is certainly not the sort of suit that would be worn to the guns - legally or otherwise! Odd that someone should have something of that size to carry in the City.

Info Needed: Trouser Pocket Styles - 1930's Suits

By the forties, US trousers would have had two back pockets, British just one. However British would have had a cash pocket - similar to a watch pocket but bigger and with flap/button.

How many inside pockets in the coat? That might help date it - a single breast pocket (only) or and a ticket pocket might date it to the 1950s.

    Date my new jacket?

!960s so hardly vintage at all - just old. The style especially the flapped out-breast pocket fits with that.
