Thank you, thank you Kabuto, JT, Indy and Tango! Most helpful. Now I've just got to narrow down all the choices. Woodfluter, I know hair bands were all the rage, but I'm not thinking that the hat bands would take off quite in the same manner!

So I guess this now makes me a hat dork, but just got back from the New Prince Caspian/ Chronicles of Narnia movie. There were some quick clips in the beginning and end (set in the 30's I think) with some cool hats. Now I need to go back and glean through the first movie :^). Cool looking...

LOVE the straw...I'm 3/4 of the way to breaking down and buying one for myself! Main issues being A) I like my hair and B) hat-head of the hair during those times it is appropriate to take the thing off.:) I'm an equal opportunity hat remover.
