Well, for today I shaved with my Merkur 34C, Feather blade, AoS preshave oil, Williams shave soap, lathered by a Kent brush. After shave was Pinaud. So smooth!

Well, with a little engine oil and a Merkur 34 HD... I have completed my first DE shave... It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I actually might collect a 37 or 39 sooner than I thought. Hell... Maybe even a straight.... but only if I lather with bacon grease. Its funny. One week...

Ok, so here is what I have so far... All from eBay: Kent BK2 Badger brush, Gillette C4 Tech DE, and Derby blades... Now for soaps or creams... What classic, grandfather scents do you guys recommend?

Now for the brush, would a best badger brush be fine? I have seen some on eBay starting around $50 up to around $70. I thought of going to a local shop as well. I think their entry best badger brush is $55.
